The
Restaurant at Rowayton Seafood:
One of Connecticut's Year-Round Dining Gems
The Restaurant
at Rowayton Seafood, locally known as “The
Restaurant,” is one of coastal Connecticut’s
ONLY waterfront dining gems open year-round.
We are nestled in a turn-of-the-century gray
shingled house on the banks of the 5 Mile
River, in Rowayton, CT.
Our building is next door to a wholesale and
retail fish company known as Rowayton Seafood,
which was one of the state’s oldest
fish cooperatives, and now supplies the best
seafood to local residents and restaurants.
Incidentally, we are their best customer,
and you can bet on the fact that our seafood
doesn’t get any fresher.
We provide dockside cocktails in the summer,
fireplace dining when the weather is cooler
and views of the water from every table, in
every season, from our enclosed terrace. We
serve lunch and dinner seven days a week and
a wonderful brunch on Sundays…imagine
that delicious Lobster Scramble or Crab-cake
Benedict with a nice cup of java on a slow
Sunday.
Over the years, we have built a solid reputation
based on the quality of our seafood, the consistency
of its production and the most gracious and
accommodating staff any guest could hope for.
We have always had top-flight chefs, a varied
and extensive wine list and the desire to
provide an excellent restaurant experience,
and we always will.
